Randall Shafer's first guitar was recycled from the garbage can in the alley. It had no strings but looked pretty good to a ten year old boy. After borrowing a dollar and thirteen cents from his father, he purchased Black Diamond strings from the corner drugstore and a career was born. As Randall sought out and began learning from talented musicians, he became adept at picking up chords from just listening to music. As a teenager, Randall formed two bands. Randall could mimic any singer - his favorites were Neil Diamond and Gordon Lightfoot.

After graduating from high school, Randall set off to Kansas City, Missouri, where he decided on being a one-man band. Randall began acting in theatre as a child and has been involved in theatre for many years. Several years ago, he was the President of the Permian Playhouse Board of Directors and served on the board for several years. During his spare time from his business, Randall used his considerable talent to create the beautiful music to harmonize to Cynthia Clack's lyrics in "Eye of the Tiger - A Rock Opera".
